- MEYERSDALE — Joshua Daniel McKenzie, 20, of Meyersdale, Pa., passed away as the result of an automobile accident on Feb. 21, 2011, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pa. He was born on March 31, 1990, in Somerset,?Pa., the son of Mary Ann Murray, of Garrett, and Danny McKenzie and stepmother Ruth Friend, of Meyersdale. In addition to his parents, he is also survived by maternal grandmother, Mary V. Murray, of Garrett, and paternal grandparents, May and Francis McKenzie, of Finzel; a brother, Christopher McKenzie and wife Allison, of Finzel; sister Katie McKenzie and fiance Shaun Broadwater, of Grantsville; niece Savana Broadwater, of Grantsville; special sister, Lindsey Glotfelty; aunts, Rheta and husband Randy Berkey, of Somerset, Dotty and husband Gary Bowser, of Grantsville, Brenda Murray and Randy Barkman, of Meyersdale, and Debbie and husband Doug Arnold, of Frostburg; uncles, Merle Murray, of Johnstown, Ronnie and wife Vicki McKenzie, of Zilman, and Terry McKenzie and fiance Helen Kerns, of Finzel; cousins, David Topper, wife Theresa, and children, James and Matthew, of Finzel, Jake Topper and children Gavin and Lilah, of Meyersdale, Carrie Shaffer, husband William and son Harley, of Grantsville, Kimmy Wilburn and husband Jason, of Grantsville, Malachi, Nick and Brodrick Murray and mother Julie Vega, of Johnstown, Ronnie McKenzie Jr., wife Stacy, and children Isabella, and Noah, of Frostburg, and Corey Arnold, of Frostburg, and Josh’s girlfriend, Katelyn Kennell, of Wellersburg, Pa. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Merle Murray, and second cousin, Emmaline McKenzie. Josh was a 2008 graduate of Meyersdale High School. He was employed by Chameleon Glass and Tile of Frostburg. Josh enjoyed riding dirtbikes, working on his car, and snowboarding. He enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend Katelyn, family, and friends. Josh was a loving young man who was taken too early. He will be sadly missed by many but not forgotten. Friends will be received Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Price Funeral Home, 325 Main St., Meyersdale. Services will be conducted on Friday at 1 p.m. in the Meyersdale Grace Brethren Church, with the Pastor Randy Haulk officiating. Interment will be in Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
