- FROSTBURG - John Layman, 55, of Syracuse, N. Y., died at his home there last Friday. A native of Shaft, he was a son of Benjamin Layman, of Syracuse, and the late Mrs. Johanna (Ryan) Layman. Besides his father, he is survived by his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Layman; a son, John Layman, at home; three brothers and two sisters, all residing in Syracuse. Burial was conducted there yesterday.
