- Iva L. Crowe DeHaven, 87, of Frederick County, died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, in a local nursing home. Mrs. DeHaven was born in 1920 in Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of Orville and Leota Crowe. She was a seasonal worker at National Fruit Product Co. She married Conard W. DeHaven on April 8,1939, in Frostburg, Md. Mr. DeHaven died May 22, 1997. Surviving are a son, Conard W. DeHaven Jr. of Winchester; a daughter, Mary Anna DeHaven Downes of Winchester; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Two sisters and two brothers are deceased. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Frederick County. Memorials may be made to Chestnut Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Glenda Cole, Treasurer, 170 Mt. View Court, Winchester 22603; or to Gainesboro Fire and Rescue Company, 221 Gainesboro Road, Winchester 22603. Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, Winchester, is handling arrangements.
