- FROSTBURG - William Marshall Nichol, 66, of RD 1, Box 326, died Tuesday at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland. Born in Lonaconing on Aug. 18, 1920, he was the son of the late William and Edna Leora (McKenzie) Nicol. Mr. Nichol was retired from the Bethlehem Steel Plant, Bethlehem, Pa., and an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his widow, Jean Deloris (Dunham) Nichol; four daughters, Mrs. JoAnne Sears, Annapolis; Mrs. Sandra Rankin, Oklahoma; Mrs. Beverly Roddy, Baltimore, and Mrs. Carrolyn Capel, Frostburg; three sons, Eugene Nicol, Frostburg; Johnny Matsako, Pennsylvania, and William M. Nichol Jr., Cumberland; one brother, Harold Nicol, Lonaconing; one sister, Mrs. Helen Beeman, Lonaconing, and 11 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Eichhorn - McKenzie Funeral Home, Lonaconing, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted there Friday at 10 a.m. by Father Gerald LaPorta.
