Notes	SYKESVILLE - James Ballard Browning, 72, of 5838 Oklahoma Rd., Sykesville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at Carroll County Hospital, Westminster. Born June 2, 1934 in Yeager, W.Va., he was the son of the late Ossie and Lottie (Grimmitt) Browning. His wife, Freda (Wilt) Browning, and a son, Gary Browning, also preceded him in death. Mr. Browning retired from the American Can Company, Baltimore, with 33 years of service, having been an inspector. He loved hunting and being outdoors in the country. He loved his children very much, as he leaves behind two sons, Terry James Browning, of Eldersburg and Tim Wayne Browning, of Fillmore, Calif.; and a daughter, Kim Lucinda Benge, of Fruitland. He is also survived by a brother, Jerry Browning, of Florida; a sister, Shirley Waterson, of Washington; two grandchildren, James Benge Jr. and Kena Humm; a step grandchild, Parrish Erricson; two great grandchildren; and two special friends, Paul Phillips, of Kitzmiller and Jack Barley, of Baltimore. Friends will be received at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Tony Wilburn officiating. Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport. Cumberland Times-News obituary
