- Roy J. Housel, 57, of RD 2, Frostburg, died today at Miners Hospital, Frostburg, where he was a patient for two weeks. A native of Garrett County, he was a son of the late Richard F. and Mary (Nedrow) Housel. Mr. Housel had been in failing health five years. Surviving are his widow, Dorothy (Winebrenner) Housel; a daughter, Sandra Housel, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Irvin Brown, Boswell, Pa.; Mrs. Eva Brown, Somerset; Mrs. Lydia Sipple, Salisbury, Pa.; Mrs. Viola Durr, Frostburg; Mrs. Edith Baker, Wellersburg; five brothers, Curt and Oscar Housel, both of Boswell; Ray Housel, Somerset; John Housel, Salisbury; and Clarence Housel, of Zihlman. Mr. Housel was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home. The Cumberland Evening Times, April 24, 1963
