  Notes	NEW GERMANY — George Lewis Bowers, 86, died Tuesday at Springfield State Hospital where he had been admitted recently. Born at New Germany on May 14, 1877, he was a son of the late James and Catherine (Broadwater) Bowers. He is survived by his wife, the former Sally Blocker; two daughters, Mrs. Urmel Bittinger, Swanton, and Mrs. Elva Tressler, Dickson, Tenn.; two step-daughters, Mrs. Melva Yommer and Mrs. Florence Durst, both of Grantsville; two stepsons, Ira Huff, Grantsville, and William Huff, Ohio, and one brother, Lawrence Bowers, of here. The body is at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where services will be conducted tomorrow at 2: p.m. by Rev. Emory McGraw, pastor of Jennings Methodist Church, of which Mr. Bowers was a member.
