- AVILTON — Harvey H. Crowe, 67, died on Tuesday in Meyersdale Community Hospital. A native of New Germany, he was a son of the late Stewart and Louvinia (Duckworth) Crowe. He is survived by two brothers, Edgar and Lee Crowe, both of Avilton, and two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Garlitz and Mrs. Mary Wilhelm, also of Avilton. Mr. Crowe was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War II. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home in Grantsville today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. William Ferguson in charge. Interment will be in New Germany United Methodist Cemetery where military rites will be accorded by Post 214, American Legion, Grantsville.
