- Frostburg - Roy Edward Crowe, 67, of Finzel, died Friday in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. A native of Finzel, he was born July 29, 1892, a son of Thomas J. and Mary (Ballah) Crowe. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Clara L. (Wolfe) Crowe; two daughters, Mrs. Hilda Ellifritz, Cresaptown, and Mrs. Ruth Stanton, Grantsville; ten sons, Rev. Raymond Crowe, Baltimore; Rev. Frederick Crowe, Kalispell, Mont.; Rev. Carl Crowe, Rockbridge Baths, Va.; Willard, Frank, Harold and Hubert Crowe, all of Finzel; Archie Crowe, Keyser, W. Va.; Delford Crowe, Grantsville; and Woodrow Crowe, Waynesboro, Pa.; two brothers, Lee Crowe, Arlington, Va., and Denzel Crowe, Baltimore; a sister, Mrs. Beatrice Durst, National Highway; 36 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of donations to the Johnson Emmanuel Methodist Church Memorial Fund. Services will be conducted Monday at 3:30 p.m.in Johnson Emmanuel Methodist Church with the Rev. Emory McGraw officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
