  Notes	ELLERSLIE Gerda T. Minnick, 83, of Ellerslie, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 1, 2017. Born June 9, 1934, in Bavaria, Germany, a daughter of the late Josef and Leopldine (Mareph) Futschik. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Jack" Minnick in 1992; a brother, Horst Futschik Survived by a son, Ronald Minnick and wife, Vonnie of Hyndman; daughters, Caralyn Troutman and husband, Gary of Ellerslie, Patricia Cook and husband, Don of Hagerstown, Jacqueline Spiker-Davis and husband, Randy of Frostburg, Claudia Sumbera and husband, Robert of Flint, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Gerda worked at Mason's Barn as the Kitchen Manager, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings and gardening. Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Wednesday July 5, 2017, from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday July 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Caleb Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery. Gerda's family would like to extend a special thanks to Angie Dawson, who help care for Gerda the last 6 years.
