He. Sgt. Ralph L. Geiger, 28, Meyersdale, was wounded in action last month in the Mediterranean area, it was revealed yesterday by the War Department. Sgt. Geiger, son of Mrs. Minnie Geiger, was awarded the Silver Star for his gallant actions during the Sicilian campaign. The area soldier was credited with repulsing a German assault on a hill near Discari, Sicily. In the face of heavy fire, Sgt.
