- Saturday, July 21, 2007 - Somerset Daily American - Leroy S. Glime, 89, of Meyersdale, died July 21, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Meyersdale. Born June 20, 1918, in Meyersdale. A son of the late Benjamin and Netta (Porter) Glime. Also preceded in death by his first wife, Marian (Miller) Glime; brothers George, William, Charles “Buck”, Pete, Jim, Hugh and Joe; and sisters Sally and Nell. Survived by his second wife, Alice (Hostetler) Saylor Glime, and three children, Karen McCorkle, Dallas, Texas; Sammie Daiza, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Fred Glime, Detroit, Mich. A brother of Gene Glime, Detroit; Don Glime, Detroitl; Michael Glime, Marco Island, Fla.; Mary Reider, Reno, Nev.; and Kay White, Detroit. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and a great grandson. A member of the Meyersdale Lions Club, B.P.O.E. Lodge 1951, and the Meyersdale Historical Society. Leroy was a former Mayor of Meyersdale and was instrumental in the attempt to beautify the town of Meyersdale with the planting of trees in the business district. Friends will be received Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale. Interment will follow in Birmingham, Mich. Arrangements by the William Rowe Price Funeral Home, Inc., Meyersdale.
