- FROSTBURG - Betty J. Morton, 83, of Centerville, formerly of Frostburg, died Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Kent Queen Anne's Hospital in Chestertown. Born Dec. 4, 1919, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Allen C. Jenkins and Mary Elizabeth (Shuckhart) Jenkins. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Jones, and Martha Springston; and two brothers, Charles A. Jenkins, and Dr. Ben Jenkins. She was a member of the Frostburg United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Fred Morton, Centerville; one son, Frederick J. Morton and wife Nancy, Centerville; one grandson, Jason Morton; and one sister, Eleanor Kenney, Frostburg. Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Tuesday, March 18, 2003, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Richard Broome officiating. Interment will be at Frostburg Memorial Park.
She was buried on 18 Mar 2003 in Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland.
