- Lawrence E. Jackson, 91, Meyersdale (Larimer Township), died Dec. 19, 2006, at his home. Born April 25, 1915, in Meyersdale. A son of the late John E. and Melissa Peral (Martin) Jackson. Also preceded in death by his wife, the former Velma S. Steinly; infant daughter, Lois; and a brother, James. Survived by two children, Marion, wife of David Sutton, Ridgeley, W.Va.; and David L. Jackson, and his wife, Linda, Meyersdale. Also six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. A brother of Cecil Jackson, Meyersdale; and John Jackson, Laramie, Wyo. He was an area dairy farmer for 39 years. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Hostetler Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Arlen Longanecker officiating. Interment, Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery.
