- FROSTBURG - Willard C. Blank, 69, formerly of 165 Washington Street, died Friday at the Summit Nursing Home, Catonsville. Born in Eckhart, he was a son of Mrs. Annie (Logsdon) Blank, here, and the late Raymond Blank. Mr. Blank's wife, the former Elsie Watkins, died in 1982. He was a retired employee of the Celanese Fibers Corporation and served in the Army in World War II. Mr. Blank was a member of Zion United Church of Christ; Farrady Post 24, American Legion, and the Frostburg Volunteer Fire Department. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Ruth L. Anderson, Catonsville; one sister, Mrs. Virginia Plummer, here, and two granddaughters. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home Sunday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. H. B. Rittenhouse. Interment will be in Eckhart Cemetery, where Farrady Legion Post will accord military honors. Pallbearers will be Robert Fry, Daniel Gomar, Roy Sell, Robert Plummer, Larry Derreth, all nephews, and John Augustine. The Frostburg Volunteer Fire Department will hold a memorial service at the funeral home Saturday at 7 p.m. The family requests that memorials take the form of donations to the Heart Fund.
