- William R. Folk, 56, of 518 Pearre Avenue, died yesterday shortly after being admitted to Sacred Heart Hospital. Mr. Folk was born at Mt. Savage, a son of Charles K. and Cecelia (Rawlings) Folk, Eckhart. Mr. Folk was employed as a watchman for the City of Cumberland and was a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Central Assembly of God Church. Also surviving are his widow, Mrs. M. Elizabeth (Wolford) Folk; four sisters, Mrs. Curtiss Gaumer, Baltimore; Mrs. Robert Scell, Washington, and Mrs. Donald Wade and Mrs.Yemo Sgaggero, both of Frostburg, and three brothers, Melvin E. Folk, Frederick; Cecil R. Folk, Frostburg, and Harold L. Folk, Mt. Savage. The body is at the George Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p. m. Services will be conducted there tomorrow at 2 p.m. by Rev. Frank J. Fratto. Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park. The Cumberland Evening Times, October 21, 1968
