- BLOOMINGTON — Mrs. Minnie Tibbetts, of Bloomington, will observe her 100th birthday on August 14. Born in Somerset, Pa. in 1865, she, lived in Birmingham. Ala. during the early years of her marriage. She came here in 1895 and has been a resident of this Garrett County town for the past 76 years. Mrs. Tibbetts is the widow of the late William Tibbetts who died in 1910. She was the mother of five children, three daughters, Mrs. Clara Bozman, Baltimore; Mrs. Martha Brown and Mrs. Laura Kelly, both of Bloomington: two sons, John and Harry are deceased. There are also eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family will celebrate her birthday on Saturday and next Sunday afternoon August 15, open house will be held for friends of the family to visit Mrs. Tibbetts.
