Frostburg – Mrs. Blanche L. Minnick, 49, wife of James Minnick, Star Route, died last night in Miners Hospital following a lingering illness. Born in Garrett County, a daughter of Mrs. Sarah (Baker) Howard and the late Harry Howard, she celebrated her birthday on Monday. Mrs. Minnick was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Surviving besides her mother and husband, are a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Johnson, of RD 2, and several nieces and nephews. The body will be at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. A requiem mass will be celebrated Saturday at St. Stephen’s Church, Grantsville, and interment will be in Johnson Cemetery, Garrett County. Cumberland Evening Times, Wednesday, October 30, 1963
