MRS. GUSSIE NANCE
"Mrs. Gussie B. Nance, 57, of 836 W. McBean St., died unexpectedly at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at 3019 N. Delaware Ave. where she was visiting with her son, Lawrence Nance."
"Mrs. Nance, who was returning from a nearby grocery store with her grandson, collapsed at the front steps of her son's home and was lying on the sidewalk when her son found her, according to information given Coroner Horace Payton who is investigating."
"Born at Alto Pass June 5, 1905, Mrs. Nance was a daughter of Samuel and Alice Dallas and was married to Willard L. Nance at Murphysboro in October, 1922."
"Surviving are her husband; three sons, Samuel L. Nance, Gordon Nance and Lawrence Nance, all of Peoria; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Pugh of Chillicothe; four brothers, Albert Dallas and Howard Dallas, both of Alto Pass, Lee Dallas of Arizona and Ed Dallas of Murphysboro; one sister, Mrs. Iva Bittle of Alto Pass, and 13 grandchildren."
