- Frostburg, Sept. 12 - James Clark, 53, of Finzel, died last night in Miners Hospital where he was admitted Tuesday after suffering a paralytic stroke. He had been in failing health for two years. A former clay miner, he was a son of the late John and Holley Winebrenner Clark. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Charles Folk, of Frostburg; Mrs. Lemuel McKenzie and the Misses Betty and Shirley Clark, all at home; three sons, James Clark Jr., of Frostburg; and Allen and Paul Clark, at home; and a number of brothers and sisters. The body is at the home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic church at Pocahontas, Pa. The Cumberland Evening Times, September 12, 1946
