- Mrs. Rella Amelia Fresh, 77, of Mexico Farms, died yesterday at the Kyle Nursing Home, Lonaconing, where she was admitted November 20. She had been in failing health for three years. Born in Garrett County, she was a daughter of the late William and Henrietta (Crowe) Murphy. She was a member of New Germany United Church of Christ and the WSCS of Davis Memorial Church. Surviving are her husband, Asa J. Fresh, a patient at the nursing home; two sons, Hubert B. Fresh, Frostburg, and Allen R. Fresh, city; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Plummer, Buchannon, W. Va.; Mrs. Robert Lacy, city, and Mrs. Okey Michaels, Westernport; two brothers, Ernest and Marion Murphy, Frostburg; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Fike, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Arta Cook, Fredericksburg, Va., and Mrs. Edna Keene, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the John J. Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, Braddock Road and Route 40. A service will be conducted there Friday at 2 p. m. Interment will be in New Germany United Church of Christ Cemetery. The Cumberland News, December 4, 1963
