- Mrs. Cora Lee Newlin, 80, of 551 Winifred Road, was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital yesterday afternoon. Born in Rawlings May 24 1891, she was a daughter of the late Henry C. and Luverna (McKenzie) Shepherd. Her husband, Simon T. Newlin, preceded her in death. She was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. Mrs. Newlin is survived by ; son, James L. Newlin, Keyser three daughters, Mrs. Seymour Nealis, of Swanton; Mrs. Irene Wachter, this city; Mrs. Harold Doolan, Lonaconing; two brothers, George Shepherd and Dewey Shepherd, both of Cresaptown; a sister, Mrs. G. Harness Miller, Cresaptown; 17 grandchildren 33 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. The body is at the Wendt Funeral Home where friends will be received today from 7 to p.m. and tomorrow and Tuesday Tom 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Cumberland Sunday Times, January 9, 1972
