SEFFNER, Fla. James E. "Jim" Casteel, 49, of 331 Hollow Tree Drive, Seffner, and formerly of Rawlings, Md., died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at Brandon Regional Hospital, Brandon. Born July 11, 1950, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of Donald F. Casteel, of Rawlings, and the late Harriet (Callis) Casteel. Jim was a project field engineer supervisor with URS Greiner Engineering, and a scouting coordinator for Boy Scout Troop #797, Seffner, and Methodist by faith. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Jane E. (Everline) Casteel, of Seffner; two sons, Matthew Robert Casteel and Andrew James Casteel, both of Seffner; and three brothers, Francis Casteel, of McCoole, Md., Lynn Casteel, of Rawlings, and William "Bill" Casteel, of St. Petersburg, Fla. The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., on Friday, April 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday, April 29 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Footen and Father James Hannon officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Jesuit High School Scholarship Fund, 4701 N. Himes Ave., Tampa, FL 33614.
