Pleasant Street, was dead on arrival today at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, where he was taken after collapsing at the Kelly-Springfield Tire Company plant. He was born in Frostburg, a son of the late Michael and Roseann Folk Lavin. He is survived by his widow, Anna (Wampler) Lavin; three sons, Paul and Dennis Lavin, both of Eckhart, and Wayne Lavin, Riverdale Heights; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Brewer, Ft. Worth, Tex.; Mrs. Cleo Barnes, Cumberland, and Mrs. Elaine Maw, Rockland, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Smith and Miss Edith Lavin, both of Frostburg; one brother, Clarence Lavin, Cumberland, and 12 grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer-Sowers Funeral Home, where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. The Cumberland Evening Times, March 1, 1969
