FROSTBURG — Leo Joseph Lavin, 59, of Finzel, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital where he was taken after he became ill at the Amcelle Plant of Celanese Fibers Company. Born in Eckhart, he was a son of the late John and Rebecca (Folk) Lavin. He was a member of TWUA Local 1874. Surviving are his wife, Helen (Sides) Lavin; six sons, Leo, John, Harold and James, at home; Joseph Lavin, Mt. Savage Road, and Glenn Lavin, Finzel; two daughters, Martha and Jean, at home; seven step-children, Donald and Robert Liller, Big Savage Mountain; Richard, Evelyn, Doris and Faith Liller, and Mrs. Catherine Forebeck, Cumberland; one brother, George Lavin, Eckhart; two sisters, Mrs. William Roberson, Geneva, Ohio, and Mrs. Hillary Lancaster, Eckhart, and seven grandchildren. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home where friends will be received from 2 until 4 p. m. and 7 until 9 p. m. The Cumberland Evening Times, January 16, 1964 Leo J Lavin was married in the Allegany County Court. The license was issued to Leo J Lavin, 22, Finzel, MD and Winona A.
