- OAKLAND — Mrs. Agnes Meltina Brant, 91, of RD 2, Swanton, died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Friend, also of Swanton. A daughter of the late George and Matilda (Bittner) Ohler, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delphia Brant. She was a member of the Glendale Assembly of God Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edith Joslin, and Mrs. Friend, both Swanton; two sons, John Brant, Swanton, and Walter Brant, Marianna, Pa.; one sister, Mrs. Pearl Tressler, Meyersdale, Pa.; one brother, George Ohler, Meyersdale; 15 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. The body is at the Minnich Funeral Home in Oakland where friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. A service will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. with Rev. Gail Nixon officiating. Interment will be in the Thayerville Cemetery. The Cumberland News, December 29, 1969
