- Stephen 1747 - 1820 was son of Jotham Phebe (Wheeler) Wilder. He was of Lancaster, Mass. He was a Minute Man in the Revolutionary War of 1776. He answered the Lexington, MA alarm in 1775. He and his wife, Betty Sawyer were admitted to the First Church of Lancaster, 20 Oct. 1771. They resided South East part of Lancaster, now Clinton, at the site of the Wachusett Resevoir. His farm lies under its waters. He settled on a part of his father's, and was a prosperous farmer. He left an $8000 Estate.
