- JAMES WILLIAM RANDALL STARKEY James William Randall Starkey, 74, Wiley Ford, W. Va., died Sunday at Memorial Hospital. Born July 16, 1909, in Cresaptown, he was a son of the late J. Gibson Starkey and Bertha (McBee) Starkey and was retired from the South Cumberland Planning Mill. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 245, the Good Fellowship Club, the VFW of Fort Ashby, W.Va., and attended the Bethel Tabernacle Assembly of God Church on Old Furnace Road. His wife, Hallie Grace (Anderson) Starkey, preceded him in death. Surviving are two sons, Randall James Starkey, Fort Ashby, and Robert Gibson Starkey, Shepherdstown, W. Va ; one sister. Mrs Loretta McKenzie. Cumberland; two grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home Monday from 7 to 9 p m and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Cumberland Evening Times, Monday, November 14, 1983
