- Melvin E. Clark, 57, of 150 East Main Street, Frostburg, died March 28, 1983, at the Veterans Administration Center in Martinsburg, W.Va. He was born in Wellersburg, and was a son of the late John P. Clark and Martha Ellen (Petenbrink) Clark. He had served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Horchler, with whom he resided; Mrs. Erma B. Rice, Huntington, Ind.; Mrs. Ida L. Schadt, Valley Road; Mrs. Edna M. Swan, Valparaiso, Ind.; Mrs. Lois V. Plew, Columbia City, Ind.; four brothers, Carl E. Clark, Pasadena, Md.; Clyde E. Clark, Bryan, Tex.; John W. Clark, Cumberland; Orville R. Clark, Angelton, Tex.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the Kight Funeral Home, Cumberland, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Republic, March 31, 1983.
He was buried on 30 Mar 1983 in Veterans Cemetery, Rocky Gap, Cumberland, Allegany Co., Maryland.
