Notes	ECKHART - John A. Ruffo, 39, died yesterday at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, where he had been admitted Sunday. He had been in ill health the past six months. A native of Frostburg, he was a son of Mrs. Lee Etta (McKenzie) Ruffo, Camden, N. J., and the late Nutzy Ruffo. Employed as tire finisher at Kelly-Springfield Tire Company, he was a member of Rubber Workers Local 26, St. Michael's Church, and the Holy Name society. He was a past grand knight and a member of Knights of Columbus Chapter 1442. A veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Farrady Post 24, American Legion. Besides his mother, he is survived by his widow, Helen (Duncan) Ruffo; four daughters, Johnna, Wanda, Carol and Emma Lee Ruffo, at home; two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Ruffo, North Forestville; and four sisters, Mrs. Louise Bittinger, Mrs. Anna Lee Knight, here; Sister Frances Margaret, Philadelphia; Mrs. Helen Wise, Akron, Ohio. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg. The Cumberland Evening Times, July 6, 1971 He was buried on 8 Jul 1971 in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery, Frostburg, Allegany Co., Maryland. ECKHART - Mass for John A. Ruffo, 39, who died Monday will be celebrated tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at graveside by Farrady Post 24, American Legion. Pallbearers will be Edward Jackson, Paul J. Jackson, Robert Kenney, Oliver Fabbri, Joseph Struntz Jr., and James Quinn. The body is at the Durst Funeral Home where a Christian Wake service will be held today at 7:30 p.m. The Cumberland News, July 7, 1971.
