McKenzie, 69, of Beltsville, Md., died Sept. 29, 1974, in Leland Memorial Hospital, Riverdale, Md. A native of Avilton, he was a son of the late Andrew and Maude (Croft) McKenzie. He was a retired employe [sic] of the University of Maryland and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Beltsville. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nola McKenzie; two brothers, Bernard McKenzie, Potomac Park, Md.; and William McKenzie, Cumberland; also four sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Green, Baltimore; Mrs. Rebecca McLuckie, Cumberland; Mrs. Pauline Ross, Frostburg; and Mrs. Nora Crowe, Avilton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Virginia Weiss, of Laurel, Md., and two step-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated last Thursday morning in St. Ann's Catholic Church, Avilton. Meyersdale Republican, October 10, 1974 He was buried on 3 Oct 1974 in St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery, Avilton, Garrett Co., Maryland. Francis Michael MCKENZIE and Nola DISHONG were married. Per Ray Leidinger: Although the marriage license refers to Nola as a maid, she was married to a Stoner prior to her marriage to Francis Michael McKenzie. Per Sheryl Kelso in February 2014: Virginia Rose was a stepdaughter of Francis McKenzie; I do not know her father’s surname.
