  Notes	Cresaptown, MD - James L. Lease, 77, of Cresaptown, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at his residence. Born August 20, 1930 in Cresaptown, he was the son of the late Samuel Louis Lease and Anna Mary (McKenzie) Lease. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Lois Jean (Decker) Lease in 2005. Mr. Lease had served an enlistment in the U.S. Army. He retired from Superfresh, previously A & P, as a meat cutter. Prior to his employment there, Mr. Lease had worked at Albert's Market, Ridgeley and VanMeter's Market, Cresaptown. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. His life-long hobby was raising game chickens. Survivors include his three sons, Andrew L. Lease, Scott Alan Lease, Sr., and Brian K. Lease, all of Cresaptown; one brother, Samuel E. Lease, Short Gap; two sisters, Marie Arzella Lease, Cresaptown, and Eva Jean "Pug" Goldsworthy, Fairgo; one grandson, Scott Alan Lease, Jr.; one great-grandson, Talan Parker Lease; nieces and nephews, including Timothy Lease, Debbie Robey, John Hill, and Margie Grogg. Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., 202 Greene St., Cumberland, on Monday from 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:30 PM, with Rev. James Kurtz, OFM, Cap, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, where military honors will be accorded by Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Simmons, Tim Lease, Lee Amick, Rusty Lease, John Hill, and Billy Robey.
