- George Richard Clayton, 51, 14416 Winchester Road, Cresaptown, died Thursday at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born Sept. 28, 1933 in Cresaptown, he was a son of Mrs. Amelia Irene (Grant) Clayton, Cresaptown, and the late Theodore J . Clayton. Mr. Clayton served with the Air Force as an airman third class during the Korean War. Besides his mother, he is survived by one brother, Harold T. Clayton, Anaheim, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Jane O'Neal, Los Alamos, N.M.; Mrs. Grace Clayton Mazzelli, Rockville; Mrs. Doris Clayton Feinsilber, Wheaton. Friends may call at the George - Upchurch Funeral Home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Cresaptown United Methodist Church by the Rev. Harold R. McClay, Jr. Interment will be in the Eckhart Cemetery. Friends will be received at the church one hour before the services. The Cumberland News, June 1, 1985.
