Notes	CUMBERLAND - Francis Laurence Mantheiy, 76, of Buddy Lane, Carpendale, W.Va., died Friday, June 12, 1992 at Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Born April 13, 1916 in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Paul Mantheiy and Helen (Hogan) Mantheiy. He was preceded in death by his wife Hildagarde (McKenzie) Mantheiy in 1977. Mr. Mantheiy was a boiler maker in Local 193, Baltimore. He was a former employee of the B&O Railroad and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church; the Chief Justice Taney Council, Knights of Columbus, Cumberland; Pope John Council, Knights of Columbus, Cresaptown; Cumberland Moose 271; the Planning and Zoning Commission of Carpendale and a member of the Mineral County Democrat Club. Survivors include six daughters, Donna Hymes, Short Gap, W.Va.; Roberta Marshall, Duluth, Ga.; Sandie Freund, Wawatosa, Wisc.; Lois Mantheiy, Shreveport, La.; Jean Amick, Cumberland; Louise Hymes, Cumberland; two sons, Francis B. Mantheiy, Corriganville; Paul “Spunky” Mantheiy, Red Lion, Pa.; one brother, John Mantheiy, Dundalk; two sisters, Pauline Yeargan, Williamsport; Mary Faney, Hagerstown; 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Avenue. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church by Father Milton A. Hipsley. Interment will be at Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of the Cresaptown Knights of Columbus. Cumberland Sunday Times, June 14, 1992
