- Leon W. Clem – Leon Wise Clem, 74, of 106 Park Street, died Thursday at Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 29, 1910 in Red Creek, W.Va., he was a son of the late John Clem and Mary Blanche (Breedlove) Clem. He was a retired employee of the Celanese Corporation. Surviving are three sons, Marvin Clem, Short Gap, W.Va.; Gary Clem, Luke, and K. Lee Clem, Irvine, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Freda Combs, Tom’s Brook, Va., and Mrs. Roberta Raines, Rawlings; three brothers, Everett Clem, city; Robert Clem, New Orleans, La., and John Clem, Collinville, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Ella McKenzie, Auburn, Wash., and Mrs. Evelyn Shipley, Cresaptown; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Wayne Turner, Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park. Cumberland Evening Times, Saturday, February 2, 1985
