Born June 12, 1918 in Frostburg, Md., a daughter of the late Reginald and Kathryn (Ort) Yates. Survived by her husband, Harry B. McKenzie; son, Bruce Y. McKenzie, McLean, Md.; and daughter Kathryn Ann McKenzie, Frederick, Md. Also two grandchildren. A 1939 graduate of Frostburg State University. She was a school teacher in Allegany and Montgomery County, Md. A member of the Rockville Presbyterian Church. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, at the Price Funeral Home Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, with Pastor Albert G. Valentine officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery, Meyersdale. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Meyersdale Public Library. Daily American, May 13, 1998.
