- FROSTBURG — Lucy M. Arnone, 86, of 19900 National Highway, N.W., Frostburg, died Monday, July 25, 1994 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born on June 14, 1908 in Morantown, she was the daughter of the late Lucindo Fabbri and Benilda (Castellina) Fabbri. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Michael N. Arnone on June 14, 1971 and by brothers, Olivio Fabbri, William Fabbri, Anthony Fabbri, Marcello Fabbri and John Fabbri. Mrs. Arnone was the former owner-operator of Billy Goat Inn. She was a member of Saint Michael’s Catholic Church; church Sodality; church choir; Court Saint Michael Catholic Daughters of America; Frostburg Knights of Columbus Auxiliary; Farrady Unit 24 American Legion Auxiliary and September Singers. She was also a volunteer for the Frostburg Area Ambulance Service (subscription drive fund) and the Frostburg Meals on Wheels Program. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she is survived by three sons, James J. Arnone, Frostburg; Arnold Arnone, Charleston, S.C.; Samuel F. Arnone, Baltimore; three daughters, Rose M. McKenzie, Frostburg; Joan Brewer, Hagerstown; Linda C. Arnone, Charleston, S.C.; three brothers, Oliver Fabbri, Frostburg; Raymond Fabbri, Tampa, Fla.; Francis Fabbri, Cresaptown; 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Robert Passarelli as celebrant.
