Born at Montell, Md., on Aug. 22, 1929, he was a son of the late Leonard Clarence McKenzie and Edna Elizabeth (Smith) McKenzie. Also preceding him in death were three brothers and three sisters. He was a member of Lonaconing Methodist Church, Lonaconing, Md. He was a retired tractor trailer driver after 25 years. Mr. McKenzie was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Twila J. (Hoover) McKenzie, Buffalo Mills; one son, Mike McKenzie, Glen Burnie, Md.; one daughter, Patricia Ann Valentine, Sunnyside, Md.; sisters Alice Albright and husband, Carl, Frostburg, Md., Anna Mae Brode, Somerset; Mary McKenzie, Cresaptown, Md.; Mildred Middleton, Clinton Township, Mich.; one brother, Eugene McKenzie and wife, Rose, Millersville, Md.; four grandchildren; and 34 nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at Bible Gospel Church, Hyndman. Services will be held at the church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Fay Leydig officiating. Interment will be in the Madley Cemetery, Madley. Arrangements are under the direction of the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., 8 E. Main St., Lonaconing, MD 21539.
