Mr. Philip Blocher, age 90, of Fair Play, SC, died Monday, November 05, 2012 at his home. Born June 10, 1922, in Frostburg, MD, he was the son of the late Philip Blocher, Sr. and Margaret (Porter) Blocher. He retired from Kelly Tire & Rubber as plant manager. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of the Lavonia United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Betty (Sullens) Blocher; step-sons: T. C. Posky, Keith Posky, and Ken Posky. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Chaney. A private entombment will follow in Oconee Memorial Gardens. [no source given; found on his FAG memorial]
