- MEYERSDALE, Pa. - Harold V. McKenzie, 73, of RD 3, Meyersdale, died Friday, Jan. 24, 1992 in the Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville. Born Nov. 25, 1918 in Greenville Township, Pa., he was the son of the late Joshua and Armada (Arkley) McKenzie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy I. (Mull) McKenzie and a son, Dale F. McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a retired conductor for B&O Railroad and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and the VFW Post 3504 of Meyersdale. Survivors include two sons, Robert V. McKenzie, Grantsville; David L. McKenzie, RD 2, Cumberland; one daughter, Mrs. Judy Adkins, Danville, Va.; one brother, Raymond McKenzie, Ravenna, Ohio; one sister, Mrs. Velma Werner, Finzel, Md.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the William Rowe Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenville Township by the Rev. Bernard L. White. Interment will be in the Finzel (Md.) Cemetery.
