- Norman E. Monnett – Norman E. Monnett, 73, of RD 4, Oldtown Road, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient one week. Born in Rawlings, he was a son of the late Joseph W. and Anna E. (McKenzie) Monnett. He was a retired B & O employee. A son, Sp. Leonard Monnett, was killed February 19 in Vietnam. Surviving are his widow, Julia (Chaney) Monnett; three sons, Paul W. Monnett, at home; Donald E. Monnett, Brice Hollow Road, and Fred E. Monnett, Green Springs; four daughters, Mrs. Harry Hook, Mrs. Virginia Kready, RD 4; Mrs. Stella Bauman, city, and Miss Barbara Jean Monnett, at home; a sister, Mrs. Mary Ethel Bloss, RD 4; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. tomorrow and Friday.
