Notes	FROSTBURG — Geneva June McKenzie, 87, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Mountain City Center. June was born on June 5, 1932, to Catherine Pearl Nelly and Thelma Lacy Lamb. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant sister, Dorothy J. Lamb; half-sisters, Lois Ann Asbury, Susie L. Holbrook; half-brother, Carroll Asbury; stepfather, Henry Robert Asbury and husband, Ralph McKenzie. As a youngster, she along with her step-father, milked cows at Happy Hills Farm and also worked as a farm hand with Stegmaier Orchards and Packing House. She worked at Frostburg, LaVale and Cumberland McDonalds and sat with many patients in home health care. June was well known for her infectious smile and never met a stranger. She was loved by many. Surviving are her daughters, Nellie McKenzie, Hilda Knight and husband, R.J., Kim Twigg, and Ella McKenzie; son, Mark McKenzie and wife, Chrystle; grandchildren, Arissa Merrill, John Foutz III, Stephanie Beitzel, Samantha McKenzie, Brad Twigg, Mary Twigg; great-grandchildren, Blair Merrill, Ethan Merrill, Rylee Merrill, Beau Beitzel, Brinley Beitzel, McKinleigh Foutz, Luice LaPlate, Paislee Foutz; and her grand-puppy, Buddy Twigg; half siblings, Dorothy Lamb, Lois Asbury, Gracie Asbury, Carol Asbury; aunt, Ann Hall; and her special friend, Richard Friend. Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, from 1 to 2 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Duane Frederick officiating.
