- John S. McKenzie – Frostburg – John S. McKenzie, 75, was found dead yesterday at his home on Big Savage Mountain, where he resided alone. He had been in ill health for some time. Death was due to natural causes. A native of Garrett County, he was a son of the late John and Sarah (Christner) McKenzie. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church at Avilton. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Allen Baker, Frostburg, Mrs. Milton Younkin, Grantsville, and Mrs. Lila Robinson, Eckhart; and three brothers, James H. McKenzie, Big Savage Mountain, Joseph McKenzie, Avilton, and Jacob McKenzie, Frostburg. A requiem mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Ann’s Church.
