- Frostburg - Mary Elizabeth McKenzie, age 73, of 2832 Pocahontas Road, Frostburg, died Tuesday, March 17, 1998, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born June 1, 1924, in Finzel, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Minnie (McKenzie) Caton. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur McKenzie, on Jan. 25, 1990. Mrs. McKenzie was retired from the housekeeping department of the Frostburg Village Nursing Home, and formerly worked at the Celanese Fibers Corporation. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg. Surviving are four brothers, Clarence Caton, Frostburg, Anthony Caton, Junction City, Ohio, Lawrence Caton, Lancaster, Ohio, and Stanley Caton, Oldtown; four sisters, Leona Kitis, Finzel, Irene Ramhoff, Finzel, Isabel Minick, Frostburg, and May McKenzie, Finzel; one aunt, Mabel McKenzie Cutter, Finzel; and one uncle, Corbett McKenzie, Finzel; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Winners, Console, and Betty McKenzie, Finzel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg. A Christian Wake service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
