FROSTBURG - Leo L. McKenzie, 84, Beall School Road, died Monday, May 8, 1989, at Frostburg Community Hospital. Born in Garrett County, Aug.15, 1904, he was a son of the late Noah and Inez (Minnick) McKenzie. A retired Kelly-Springfield Tire Company employee, he was a member of Local 26, United Rubber Workers of America, and St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow, Rella (McKenzie) McKenzie; a son, Bernard A. McKenzie, Beall School Road; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Garlitz, Avilton; Mrs. Bertha Garlitz, Beall School Road; and Mrs. Mabel Rush, Frostburg; one grandchild and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home Thursday. Services will be conducted there Friday at 10 a.m. by Msgr. John L. Reinsfelder. Interment will be in the McKenzie Cemetery in Garrett County. Published in the Cumberland Times-News, May 10, 1989
