RAVENNA, OHIO - Pauline Agnes (McKenzie) Ross, 87, formerly of Frostburg, passed away on Jan. 13, 2007 at her daughter's home in Ravenna. Born April 6, 1919 in Avilton, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Maude (Croft) McKenzie. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, George Stuart Ross who died on Sept. 26, 1983; four brothers, Francis, Bernard, William, and Sylvester McKenzie; four sisters, Mary (McKenzie) Broadwater, Genevieve (McKenzie) Green, Rebecca (McKenzie) McLuckie, and Nora (McKenzie) Crowe; and grandson, Jeffry Ross. Mrs. Ross was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church where, over the years, she had been involved in many volunteer efforts and served as den mother for the scouts. She enjoyed reading, cooking, bowling, ceramics, and traveling. She especially loved making quilts and afghans for her grandchildren. She loved autumn leaves, flowers, and strawberry sundaes. She is survived by three children, Donald Ross and wife, Marlene, of Cumberland, Jean Dickel and husband, Bill, of Ravenna, Dale Ross and wife, Chu-hui, of Madison, Ala.; 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Donald's children: Jana Goodney, husband, Robert, and children, Gabriel, Dominic, Olivia, of Columbia; Tracey Mendez, husband, Larry, and children, Ross, McKenzie, Josh, Joe, Jeremiah, Ellicott City, John Ross, wife, Anita, and children, Caleb, Abigail, Cole, of Apopka, Fla., Donna Herrman, husband, Tom, and children, Connor, Elizabeth, Dylan, of Okinawa, Japan, Joseph Ross, wife, Sherri, and children Jeffry, Lilah, of Fort Montgomery, N.Y., and Jeffry's children, Ryan, Nicole, of Ridgley, W.Va. Jean's children, Terri Burbridge and children, Daniel, Chelsea, of Ravenna, David Atkinson, wife, Billie Jo, and children, Alex, Nicholas, Kyle, Gillian, of Cortland, Ohio, Joe Dickel, of Ravenna, Billie Jean Eddy, husband, Dwayne, and children, Eric, Corey, Ravenna. Dale's children, Christopher Ross, of Glendale, Ariz., Andy Ross and Brian Ross, of Madison, Ala. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Patrick Besel as concelebrant. Interment will be in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
