CUMBERLAND — Bernard A. McKenzie, 82, of 12107 Marigold Ave., (Potomac Park) Cumberland, passed away Sunday evening, Nov. 12, 1995 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born March 8, 1913 in Avilton, Md., he was the son of the late Andrew George McKenzie and the late Maude Mae (Croft) McKenzie. He was predeceased by his wife, Violet M. (Grove) McKenzie on July 30, 1980. Mr. McKenzie was a retired employee of the former R.G. Robeson General Contracting Company. He was a member of St Ambrose Catholic Church; a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, Pope John XXIII Council No. 5450, where he had been treasurer for 16 years; and a member of the Cresaptown Senior Citizens. Surviving are two sons, Bernard E. McKenzie and wife Mary Louise of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Galen G. McKenzie and wife Betty of Cumberland; three sisters, Genevieve Green of Lonaconing, Pauline Ross of Frostburg and Nora Crowe of Avilton; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Father Robert McCreary, O.F.M., Cap., officiating, and Father William Moody delivering the eulogy.
