      Mrs. Minnie Lou Wiggins Smith, of Peterman, died Sunday in Monroe County Hospital. She was 72 years old. She was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Emma Wiggins.

      The Reverend Jack West conducted the 10:30 a.m. service Monday in Johnson Funeral Home chapel, and burial was in Rumbley Cemetery.

      Mrs. Smith attended Livingston University for one year and taught school in Mexia for a few years. She was an active member of Peterman Baptist Church.

      Survivors include her husband, Earl Dees Smith of Peterman; one son, Joseph Earl Smith of Huntsville; one daughter, Mrs. Leon Hamiter of Huntsville; two brothers, William R. Wiggins of Monroeville and Frank Wiggins of Mexia; two sisters, Mrs. Mary McKinley of Mobile and Mrs. Gladys Scruggs of Terre Haute, Indiana; and five grandchildren.
