  Notes	FROSTBURG - Frank E. Arnold, 86, of 19101 Wencks Lane, Frostburg, died Saturday, April 4, 1998, at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Born March 12, 1912, in Pocahontas, Pa., he was the son of the late Fred and Annie (Baer) Arnold. Mr. Arnold was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ, Frostburg. He was a retired mechanic from the trucking division at the Celanese Fibers Corp. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Mabel Anna (Clark) Arnold; four daughters, Velma Shramm and husband Charles, Rock Hill, S.C., Nelda Nolan and husband John, Baltimore, Eileen McFarland and husband Edgar, Frostburg, and Sheila Pappas and husband George, Frostburg; one son, Dale F. Arnold, Santa Ana, Calif.; two sisters, Leetta Baer, Salisbury, Pa., and Leora Wilhelm, Frostburg; one brother, Owen Arnold and wife Virginia, Pocahontas; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ellis Kretschmer officiating. Interment will be in the Finzel Cemetery. The family requests that memorials be directed to the Salem United Church of Christ, Memorial Fund, 78 Broadway, Frostburg, MD 21532. He was buried on 7 Apr 1998 in Finzel Cemetery, Finzel, Garrett Co., Maryland.
