- FRIENDSVILLE — Douglas Eugene Klotz, 64, of Friendsville, died on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. Born on Nov. 4, 1955, in Meyersdale, Pa., he was the son of the late Russell John and Thelma Lucille (Glotfelty) Klotz. Doug was a carpenter, farmer, and owner of the Klotz Corn Shack. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (McKenzie) Klotz; his children, Rebecca Hauser and husband, Wade, Timothy Klotz and wife, Amanda, and Angela Savage; grandchildren, Warren Wright, Wyatt Wright, Mariah Klotz, Haley Klotz, Timothy Klotz, Alexis Savage and Walker Savage; sisters, Barbara Hinebaugh and husband, Dale, Connie Savage and husband, Gary, Annette Keller, and Lori Peck and husband, Jeff; mother-in-law, Doris McKenzie; sister-in-law, Barbara Fratz and husband, Bill; and brother-in-law, Rodney McKenzie and significant other, Brenda Oester; a number of nieces and nephews; and his faithful dogs, Windy, Rainy and Patches. Friend will be received at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, Oakland, on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, Feb. 7, 2020, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Jonathan Acord and Pastor Scott Rush officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hoyes Cemetery. 'Our hearts are totally broken at the loss of the best husband, dad, and pap. He will be forever in our hearts.'
